National Engineering Manager - Bulk Logistics & Materials Handling Equipment
£Very Competitive + Car + Bonus + Blue Chip Benefits
Location: Flexible National Field Based Role
Are you an experienced Engineering Manager looking for a multi-site operation to lead and improve? (And when we say multi-site, we do mean multi-site!)
Due to retirement, our client is looking for someone with your skills and experience to take over and modernise the running of a national engineering team across sixteen sites in the UK.
That's right-sixteen locations, all with their processes and associated challenges for you and your team to overcome.
As a major supplier of construction materials, our client has a well-established network of road, rail, and sea transport supply lines. At each depot and terminal, goods are loaded, unloaded, conveyed, repackaged, and distributed to their next destination.
As such, the associated plant must be available and operational 24/7, so you'll need to ensure a robust programme of maintenance and servicing in place at each site. In addition, although your team contains experienced mechanical and electrical engineers, as the Engineering Manager, you'll have to build skill development programmes to upskill and cross-skill personnel at each site.
Alongside the routine maintenance programmes, you'll take a leading role in designing, developing, and installing new infrastructure projects across the UK network.
Our client envisages your background will include managing the preventative and predictive maintenance activities across multiple sites, focusing on materials handling equipment. You'll also need an excellent working knowledge of bulk packaging technologies and different transportation methods via road, rail, and sea.
Given the nature of the role, there will be significant travel around the UK with time spent away from home. As such, location isn't a significant factor to our client as they have sites within commutable distance of most areas.
GRADUATE TRAINEE SALES ROLES - JUNIOR COMMERCIAL FINANCE BROKERS
"Kick-start your career with one of the UK's leading asset finance companies and develop your skills and experience through their structured training programme."
Salary £25000 Benefits (OTE £60-80000 on completion of graduate training scheme)
Northamptonshire, East Midlands, UK
Are you a recent graduate in a business studies or humanities discipline? Having graduated with a minimum 2:1 classification, you may have fallen into your current role and are enjoying the world of work.
But is it fulfilling? Can you see a clear route through to a senior level in your current business? Is your current company supporting your career development with a highly structured training programme?
That's what you'll receive from our client in one of their graduate trainee positions. You'll work alongside the Commercial Director and Sales Director, who will mentor you through your initial 12-16-week training programme.
During that time, you'll learn about commercial asset finance, the financial products our client offers, how to nurture sales opportunities from a lead through to a closed deal, then manage that client account for the long-term.
As such, your training will focus heavily on warm-calling existing previous or current clients to develop your confidence and ability in creating sales. However, this isn't a telesales type of role where you have a product to push onto a prospective customer. Instead, it's a consultative sale where you have to understand how the prospect's business operates then select the most appropriate financial solutions.
Having developed that initial enquiry, you'll then pass ownership of the deal to an account manager but work closely with them to learn the process of completing the sale.
Our client's ambition for you is to complete your training then start creating and managing your own deals where you will then earn a generous commission on top of your base salary.
Given the nature of the role, you'll need outstanding verbal and written communication skills along with a desire to work in a sales-based role and the ambition to succeed. You'll also need a UK driving licence as there will be occasional travel to clients' premises.

Are you a Sales Executive at the top of your game?
Maybe you’ve left college or university, taken a job in sales and reached a high level of achievement in your industry.
Life is good. You’re earning decent money.
But perhaps you’re wondering what’s next? Have you reached a ceiling but have the ambition and drive to go further?
Our client is looking for someone like you. They work in the commercial finance industry and want a rising star to develop into a superstar through their fast-track sales management programme.
You’ll be working alongside the Managing Director, Operations Director, and Sales Director, who will all give you first-hand training of their business to help you develop into a Sales Manager in 18 months. As part of that training, our client will support and pay for you to obtain your LIBF Diploma in Asset Finance (DipAF), if you wish.
Currently, you may be working in a role such as prestige car sales, high-end property sales, or capital equipment, or other B2B or B2C sales and you’ll have learned the art of consultative selling. You’ll have developed your communication skills to work with companies of all shapes and sizes. And that variety is one of the key features of this role. For example, you could go from talking to a small wine-bar owner about finance for new fridges to the FD of a £10m business wanting finance to purchase a fleet of commercial vehicles.
Your day-to-day role will combine generating new business from warm leads, which you’ll aim to convert into long-term accounts for you to manage. As such, you’ll be able to flex your time-management muscles and enjoy your sales commission being paid shortly after the client is onboard.
As you rise through the business, you’ll then mentor, train and lead other sales executives to bring through the next generation of brokers in the business. And to top it all you will also benefit from an override commission on earnings generated by the team, as well as many other market-leading benefits.
