This is an exciting career development opportunity for a degree educated and ambitious Chemical Engineer to join the plant optimisation team of a UK market leader.
Working closely with production, maintenance, project and environmental management colleagues, you will focus on plant performance to enable the plant to achieve its Health Safety Environment and Quality (HSEQ) and performance objectives. The main elements of the role are to:
The Ideal Applicant:
· IOSH qualification or willing to work towards.
· IChemE associated - working towards or willing to attain chartered engineer status
· At least 2-3 years minimum proven experience in chemical process engineering and plant performance improvement. Cement production industry experience would be highly advantageous.
· Strong IT skills, proficient in the use of Pi and MS office packages
· Environmental awareness in relation to developing a positive impact on the business.
· Strong knowledge of the physico-chemical products.
· Good knowledge of process control methods and statistical methods for troubleshooting.
· Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
· Competent to assist the development of production operators to enhance the effectiveness of the process.
· High safety standards and a wide knowledge of Health and Safety management techniques (e.g. Risk Assessments).
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Persuasion and influencing skills

We have been retained by this client, part of a European group that manufactures and assembles high quality architectural and structural glazing products. Our client is seeking a skilled Personal Assistant to support the Director of a successful property development business focused on commercial property, residential homes and student accomodation. Our client is seeking a PA who can assist the director and owner of the business with management and coordination of both his personal, family and business affairs. This is an exciting new part time opportunity, working with a well established yet dynamic business who has experienced tremendous growth. It is not anticipated that you will be required outside office hours except in very exceptional circumstances. Our client is offering the role on a part time basis of 25 hours over four or five days and there could be a possibility to increase hours too.
In this role, you will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless operations, supporting the director in their day-to-day tasks. You will be managing a busy schedule, coordinating meetings, and handling confidential matters with the utmost discretion.
The individual you will be supporting travels nationally and internationally regularly and within your working hours, as and when required, you will be assisting with the booking of flights and booking of hotels etc. Ultimately ensuring everything runs as smoothly as possible. There are also financial administration duties, including the paying of invoices, keeping a record of expenses, and linking invoices to bank accounts for accountants.
Other administrative responsibilities include liaising with different business partners, reviewing important documents such as contracts and conducting various research projects and presenting your findings.
You will have previous experience working as a Personal Assistant, Executive Assistant, PA or in a similar senior administrative role. Proficiency in using office productivity tools such as Microsoft office suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint are essential to success.
