Are you a talented Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer? If you're looking for a new role, our client needs your skills for their brewery in Bedford.

As their Utilities Maintenance Engineer, will be responsible for carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance on-site, responding to breakdowns as identified by their Engineering or Production Operatives, carrying out general maintenance and housekeeping across the factory and carrying out meter readings.

Additionally, you will have a proactive approach to problem-solving while installing or modifying the plant, as requested by the Engineering Management.

Our client is looking for someone who can demonstrate effective documented handovers, self-prioritise work when necessary, communicate with Production and Engineers verbally and via CMMS, liaise with all other departments to understand site problems and take ownership of engineering-based housekeeping responsibilities. You will also manage and monitor Planned Maintenance adherence and recording while identifying and ordering spare parts to facilitate plant efficiency.

You will have a recognised apprenticeship, knowledge and implementation of relevant H&S legislation and be flexible, reliable and confident in making your own decisions while communicating with other departments. Additionally, you will be able to work under pressure and unsupervised and have an excellent working knowledge of best engineering practices.

You should have a solid understanding of boiler and gas engineering and electrical/electronic systems, including PLCs.

While previous experience of working within the food and beverage production industry would be beneficial, it is not essential. The successful candidate must hold a full driver's license to use company vehicles as required.
