Having worked as a Business Development Director in asset finance, you'll already understand the importance of building relationships with vendors. In particular, you'll have learned the art of identifying potential vendors then creating a plan to develop and grow a mutually beneficial relationship.


And it's precisely those skills and experiences our client wants to bring into their organisation to help grow their business further.


Our client has helped businesses secure almost one billion pounds of finance since their founding in 2007 and brokered or lent directly on more than a quarter of a billion pounds of finance in 2021 alone. Based out of Northampton, they work with businesses from the start-up stage to an established enterprise offering access to a range of asset financing products (LF, HP and RE). They work with clients of different sizes and sectors to provide them with the best service. The typical deal ranges from £25-250k, and they aim to offer the quickest decision and turnaround times. They have worked on financing assets up to £2m across various industries, including capital equipment, transport, manufacturing, engineering, and healthcare services.


During their time in business, our client has achieved an enviable position as a leading asset finance broker and lender in the UK. But they have tremendous ambitions to grow their business further and continually expand their operations. As such, they would like an experienced Business Development Director to join their business to increase their vendor relationships.


So, in this role, you'll adopt a player/manager role with the ability to create and nurture your own vendor relationships while mentoring and managing the three regional business development managers who report to you. As such, your prior experience in guiding, supporting, and leading small teams will be invaluable.


As for your experience, our client envisages you will be educated to degree level in a business or finance discipline and will have a thorough understanding of company accounts/commercials and financial management. Within the role, your time is likely to be split between attending meetings around the country, working from the office in Northampton, and home working.
