Our client, a trailblazer in the private healthcare sector, is on the hunt for a Business Development Manager who can bring a touch of magic to their team in Worcestershire which covers the Midlands where they operate a clinic and hospital.

In the UK there are c8 million people waiting for treatment on the NHS and our client offers a fast route for treatment via self-pay private healthcare.

Specifically, our client offers self-pay/self-funded surgery solutions for trauma, orthopaedic and major and minor surgery via its network of specialist clinicians, at its Worcestershire private hospital and clinic, on a self-referral and self-pay basis. Patients may also be referred by their NHS trust if the waiting list is too long or by their GP practice or their physiotherapist or an insurance or private healthcare provider.

About the Role

As a Business Development Manager, you will:

 

  • Work Your Sales & Business Development Magic: Engage with NHS Trusts to help shorten their NHS waiting lists for treatment, GP surgeries, insurance companies, physiotherapy centres, and sports facilities to drive business growth. Identify and target potential referral sources to ensure a consistent patient flow.
  • Strategise & Network Like a Pro: Develop and implement plans to secure partnerships and patient referrals, formulating effective strategies based on market trends and insights.
  • Build Bridges: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure a steady stream of patients. Conduct regular follow-ups with existing and potential partners to maintain these vital connections.
  • Stay Ahead of the Curve: Analyse market trends to create effective marketing campaigns and sales strategies. Develop and launch targeted marketing campaigns to attract new patients and partners.
  • Track and Report: Monitor and report on the effectiveness of business development activities to ensure continuous improvement and success.

 

Ideal Candidate

 

We are looking for someone with:

 

  • Graduate calibre education.
  • Proven experience in new business development and sales gained within the healthcare sector either including NHS Trusts & Hospitals, GP Practices and Private Healthcare and Personal Accident and similar insurance providers.
  • This experience could have been gained selling a range of products or services including surgery, drugs, medical devices, equipment, consumables or other solutions such as recruitment or technology into the NHS and Private Healthcare or Medical Sector.
  • In this role you will also target private gyms and leisure centres, physiotherapy clinics, to promote our client's orthopaedic and other surgical solutions for patrons of such establishments.
  • A consultative, solution focused mindset and the ability to navigate the complexities of regulated industries.
  • Results focused and able to share evidence of successful deals secured in the last 2-3 years.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A proactive, self-motivated attitude, with a sales hunter mentality focused on thorough market mapping and research of key decision makers within the NHS and private healthcare sector.
  • Ambitious to progress and contribute to the growth of our client's business.

 

This role is based in Worcester with responsibilities covering a broad geographical area including Hereford, Worcestershire, Cheltenham, Gloucester, Warwickshire, and the wider East and West Midlands.

    · Completed a recognised apprenticeship in electrical engineering

    · Hands-on experience maintaining/replacing automation control systems (motors, inverter drives, contactors, etc.)

    · Proficiency in the 17th edition of the BS7671 wiring regulations

    · Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

    · Basic computer skills (PLC programming qualifications in Siemens S5 and S7 are a plus)

    · Self-motivated, with excellent communication and self-supervision abilities
