You'll be pivotal in quality assurance and new product development initiatives as the NPD Test Support Laboratory Technologist.
Key Responsibilities:
· Conduct comprehensive physical and mechanical testing of products per international standards
· Troubleshoot quality issues, investigate product claims, and determine root causes
· Analyse new product prototypes against design specifications to drive innovation
· Prepare samples, monitor results, and integrate findings from outsourced testing labs
· Compile detailed test reports tailored for Quality Assurance and New Product Development teams
· Coordinate testing resources and collaborate with admin staff on sample workflows
The Ideal Candidate:
· Experience in laboratory testing environments focused on physical/mechanical analysis (e.g., materials science, metallurgy, automotive testing). Chemical testing would not be applicable in this environment.
· Strong problem-solving abilities to methodically investigate issues and identify root causes
· Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to ensuring accurate, high-quality data
· Familiarity with international testing protocols and standards compliance
· Adaptability to learn new domain-specific testing techniques for the company's industry
· Excellent communication skills to interpret findings and collaborate across teams
· Good standard of education to minimum A level or equivalent.
· Driving licence and access to car as our client is located on a business park with limited public transport access. Free parking on site.
