This role will suit a graduate calibre warehousing, logistics and supply chain professional who has experience across forecasting, inventory control, warehouse pick, pack and despatch, procurement of consumables and non-OEM parts, project management and continuous improvement.  This experience must have been gained within a time critical service logistics operation. Experience of SAP including the warehouse management and materials management module will be highly advantageous. Familiarity with the concepts and application of Lean, Six Sigma and 5s will be essential in order to project manage the development, expansion and improvement of national warehouse/DC operational performance in terms of cost and efficiency.

You will manage a small, dedicated team of warehouse, inventory and materials management colleagues including a Team Leader.   You will also undertake local sourcing and procurement of consumables and non-OEM parts, working closely with a local buying consortium.  You will also liaise with cross functional colleagues and stakeholders internally and externally, to analyse, forecast and plan demand for OEM parts from Europe, ensuring excellent inventory control and supply availability.  In addition, you will plan the national transport and delivery strategy to ensure 100% Service Centre supply on time in full so that Service Technicians can deliver contractual maintenance and repair operations.

The Ideal Person:
•    Graduate calibre candidate.
•    Excellent experience in time critical MRO service logistics operations.
•    This must include experience of forecasting and planning, sourcing and procurement, inventory control, warehousing and logistics pick, pack and despatch, transport/express courier and freight planning.
•    SAP experience especially SAP warehouse management and materials management modules will be highly advantageous.
•    A demonstrable track record of successfully managing, motivating and developing a warehouse, inventory and materials management team will be essential.
•    You will instil excellence in terms of health and safety behaviours, operational performance and cost control.
•    Ability to strategically and operationally plan and deploy strategies for supply, warehousing, inventory and transport/distribution in a time critical service logistics environment.
•    Strong project management skills including previous continuous improvement initiatives deploying lean six sigma techniques and tools including 5S.
•    Comfortable and confident operating autonomously at a location remote from HO.
•    Ambitious and keen to make a difference to a growing highly service level MRO operation.

In return our client offers a excellent salary and benefits package.  To apply without delay, please email your CV quoting reference  LX 509717 to applications@martinveasey.com.  Interviews will held in Inverness during the first week of December with a view to the successful candidate commencing in early 2021.
