Our client is a global player within the specialist energy, electricity and power generation sector.  


This is an interesting and broad ranging procurement support role focused on the enhancement of data, processes, project delivery and oversight relating to supplier relationship management, compliance, governance, and risk management.  You will report to a Procurement Governance Manager and will work closely with a pan European procurement and category management team within a SAP P2P environment.  


The Role:
As Procurement Compliance and Governance Administrator you will support procurement governance activities ensuring that accurate and reliable data is maintained in relation to supplier performance to mitigate supply chain risks.  You will predominantly utilise SAP.


Specifically, you will:
•    Ensure that supplier data within SAP and other systems is accurate and up to date and that management information on supplier risk and performance is available 
•    Make supplier risk management data available for procurement dashboard reporting to support category planning and strategic sourcing events
•    Maintain system capabilities to automate supplier risk performance management becoming an expert user of supplier risk management tools to ensure maximum value is gained from systems available to the procurement and category teams
•    Track and manage procurement audit actions and report progress to the procurement leadership team

The Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will be of graduate calibre, ideally university degree educated, highly numerate and analytical.  Part or full CIPS or a desire to study would be highly advantageous. You will already be working in a similar, ideally procurement related, supplier performance analysis, compliance and data support role and will be seeking your next career move.   

This experience must have been gained within a complex, matrix, highly regulated and SAP environment ideally supporting procurement, procurement to pay/P2P and supply chain functions.  You will have a strong grasp of data standards and the techniques required to understand and drive performance. You will possess strong systems and data analysis skills. Your track record may include a contribution to systems enhancement and functionality to assist with supplier management, compliance, and performance reporting.  You will be confident in engaging with procurement and other cross functional colleagues.  You will be organised and analytical and adept at working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders and systems, SAP being the key one.  

This role can be located in the UK in our client’s North West office; the Netherlands or Germany – fluency in English plus Dutch or German would be essential for success if you wish to be based in the Netherlands or Germany.  Remote working due to Covid restrictions is also in operation.  In return our client offers a very competitive salary and benefits package including enhanced holiday entitlement and excellent pension and the opportunity to develop your career within a market leader.

    The Role:

    * To support the EPC Project Procurement Manager/ Engineering, Construction and Projects Team in the execution of both local and global strategies.

    * To work with relevant customers/stakeholders and procurement colleagues in the development and execution of customer aligned and fully integrated category plan(s) for Engineering, Construction and Projects, and taking the commercial lead in the sourcing, selection and management of suppliers for all associated projects.

    * As a member of a global procurement and category team actively contribute to the development and execution of the category plan and associated projects in order to drive maximum value from the supply chain and the dissemination of best practice.

    * To actively contribute to the development of the Category Plan such that the Team is clear on the vision, strategy and implementation process.

    * To develop, evaluate and manage internal and external supplier relationships such that they support the optimisation of our client's position.

    The Ideal Candidate:

    * University degree educated (or with evidence of recent CPD) plus MCIPS essential.

    * Experience gained within a multinational, corporate and regulated environment such as utilities, aerospace, pharmaceutical, electronics, engineering, capital intensive industry, chemicals, construction, environments etc.

    * At least four years' procurement experience including minimum two years in a category manager or senior buyer role within the £multi million multi year, large scale CAPEX, Engineering, Construction Projects category area.

    * EPC engineering and construction contract framework experience and knowledge essential.

    * An understanding of category management principles and a working knowledge of SAP processes and functionality across the procurement process and integration with other functions.

    * Excellent stakeholder engagement, persuasion and influencing including business case development and presentation experience.

    * Excellent track record of supplier management and development including implementation of supplier management programmes with key suppliers.

    * Experience of advising and leading on bid evaluation approach in support of supplier selection.

    * Experience of development and execution of project procurement strategies within the context of construction and engineering projects.
