Are you a successful senior sales professional looking for a new challenge?

Our client is a premium brand manufacturer of precision engineered components for use in the water industry and has ambitious plans to grow their business significantly. As such, they need an experienced sales professional to head up their sales function for the whole of Germany.

As the Head of Sales, you will lead an existing external sales team comprised of regional managers and field sales executives. A multi-disciplinary, internal sales function then supports the external team.

Having reviewed the sales process, you will then ensure that sales activities align with corporate strategy.  You’ll then be able to use your leadership and interpersonal skills to motivate and develop the whole sales team to adopt your plan and take the company forward.

As well as leading the team, you can also adopt a “player/coach” style by running your own sales campaigns alongside supporting and mentoring your team. Our client supplies components so can be classed as a product-based sale rather than a consultative, solution-based sale. Their customers are distributors, project engineering companies, and end-user water companies. 

Understanding technical, engineered products will be highly desirable, and you may have previously been involved with selling valves, pumps, hydrants, and pipework. However, our client is more concerned with your knowledge of how the water industry works rather than specific product knowledge, which they are happy to teach you.
