Our client is a leading developer and manufacturer of carbon nanotubes and carbon nanotube hybrid materials.
The Application Engineer is part of a team developing custom printed electronic circuits from design through manufacturing.
The Applications Engineer also provides technical support to the Business Development Team, Customers and Sub-contractors.
Responsibilities:
* Design, fabricate and test prototypes to achieve design wins with customers, supply chain partners and subcontractors
* Transition successful prototype projects into pre-production and production development
* Resolve quality/production process problems working with R&D and Operations
* Review customer design requirements for applicable use of Transparent Circuit Materials
* Review customer provided designs for manufacturability ensure they are defined design rules
* Support the Business Development Team on qualified customer opportunities
* Create quality control documents (Workflows, Control Documents, BoM, QC, CARs, ECR, ECN)
* Utilize metrology techniques that are required to support Root Cause Analysis
* Develop and qualify new materials and manufacturing methods for printed electronics
* Participate in creating technical data sheets, applications notes, design guides, technical reports, articles, presentations, proposals, invention disclosures and patent applications
Requirements:
* BS Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
* Experience working in PCB manufacturing environment with quick turn prototypes
* Experience with screen-printing, optical and electrical testing equipment, CAD tools (SolidWorks, FAB3000), ISO9001:2015 certification, CRM, ERP, and helpdesk systems, a plus
* Innovator who is collaborative by nature with strong verbal and written communication skills
* Critical thinking skills a must; ability to identify issues and formulate solutions
* Flexibility in approach to project assignments in a cross-functional team environment
* Multi-tasker, detail-oriented, and possess good time management skills
* Self-starter with strong work ethic and a track record of performance with minimal direction
* Willing to travel domestically and Internationally as needed
