Our client is an established manufacturing company in the South of Germany and has ambitious plans they need your skills to implement.
Working closely with the Managing Directors in Germany and Group HR Director in the UK, you'll be implementing the group strategy at the local level. As such, you'll need to be fluent in English and German and have the gravitas and strong character to constructively challenge, coach, engage and influence the leadership team. As an experienced HR transformation specialist, you'll have the knowledge and background to lead the changes required, working closely with the Works Council in a unionised company.
Visibility will be critical to building the strong relationships you will need to succeed in this role, as our client wants you to implement HR best practices throughout its German, Polish and Dutch operations. This will involve working alongside the directors, senior managers, line managers and staff to educate, coach and support the correct application and continuous development of company policies.
As for your background, our client anticipates that you will have a degree in a HR discipline and be a member of a recognised professional HR body. In addition, you'll have led transformation projects in your previous roles and can demonstrate resilience, strength of character, and a results-oriented mindset to your work. You will be a HR generalist and business partner. This experience will have been gained, ideally within a multinational, matrix, and unionised environment within the engineering or other heavy industry.
Overall, this will be a high profile, challenging but rewarding position and the opportunity to really shape our client's strategy and direction.
