ELECTRICIAN – CENTRALISED MAINTENANCE TEAM (DAYS 8 AM-4/4 30pm)
£34500 (OTE £45-48000 inc overtime & allowances) + Bonus + Benefits & Ongoing Training & Development

This an excellent opportunity to join the plant electrical maintenance team of this division of a multinational company and play a key part in delivering production targets within a medium/heavy factory process operation. The focus is on maintenance, inspections, and planned maintenance of all electrical, automation and process control equipment. This includes instrumentation, PLC’s, inverter drives, DCS/SCADA, LV and HV motors, switchgear and control gear, AC and DC, variable speed drives, and specialised control panels. We are currently seeking a time served apprentice Electrician/Electrical Process Control Craftsperson.
You will perform inspections and maintenance, responding in a timely manner to breakdown repairs with a keen eye to continuous improvement and to high standards in line with safety, quality and environmental targets. You will also represent the department on site working committees where required.
The Role:
Working with Plant Production & Maintenance teams and reporting to the Plant Electrical Executive Engineer:
- Completion of planned preventative maintenance activities
- Carrying out fault finding and corrective repair work
- Maintenance operations and accuracy of plant instrumentation including gas analysis systems.
- Record maintenance activities for plant history and capture and create further work requests through SAP based plant planned maintenance system (CMMS)
- Carry out planned maintenance and major repairs.
- Assist in the commissioning of new plant and equipment.
- Assist with plant isolations and verification.
- Ensure compliance with H&S and Environmental legislation and Company and site H&S rules
Qualifications and skills
- Apprentice trained electrician/electrical/process control craftsperson educated to ONC/HNC/Degree (NVQ level 3 or 4) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
- 18th edition wiring regulations
- Experience in a continuous process industry, factory, chemical, cement, lime, powders, aggregates, construction material or other industrial processing environment including full competence in maintaining large plant equipment.
- Fully competent in maintenance systems with experience of working in a processing/industrial environment.
- Understanding of health, safety and environmental issues/risks
- PLC, inverter drives, gas analytics, explosive atmospheres and telemetry experience preferred.
- DCS experience desired.
- Knowledge off process control and instrumentation systems
- Experience of hydraulic and pneumatic systems useful
- Knowledge and experience of HV/LV switchgearand control gear systems
- Working knowledge of maintenance management systems eg SAP or MAXIMO
- Good working knowledge of electrical isolation
- Experience in medium/heavy industry is useful.
- Must be able to work as a member of a team as well as individually.
- Excellent problem solver.
- Computer literate
- Interested in learning, self-development, and further training.
- Flexibility, self-motivation, positive attitude and ability to prioritise are important attributes.

· Change management is a key challenge in the role and Senior Buyers/Category Specialists must have expert influencing and negotiation skills alongside key technical competencies relating to procurement transactional planning, commercial contract management and supplier relationship management.

THE ROLE
The role of Executive Recruitment Consultant - for our Interim Executives Division (Part Time) will be a good combination of new business development, account management and both consultative and transactional recruitment. You will be working as part of a very successful and established team that enjoys a strong reputation in the marketplace. You will be involved in the whole recruitment lifecycle from developing client relationships, attending client visits, new business development, advertising, interviewing and managing your candidates through a client's selection process to the point where you place the candidate in a suitable role. You will have access to state of the art recruitment software and a candidate and client database that is proactively and regularly updated by our recruitment support team.
You will be responsible for sourcing, screening, interviewing and consulting with candidates on their career aspirations as well as forging strong relationships with clients and companies to understand their requirements and corporate culture to ensure that you source the very best candidates for them. You will develop and expand your interim executives division and identify new business opportunities. You will also be expected to work as part of a team and develop excellent working relationships both internally and externally.
THE PERSON
- Graduate calibre with lots of drive, ambition, and commitment.
- Experienced in recruiting managerial and executive level candidates.
- Experience of recruiting interim executives advantageous
- Experienced technical and competency/behavioural interviewer.
- CIPD level 3 or 5 would be highly advantageous but not a prerequisite.
- Psychometric test or coaching qualifications would be advantageous but not a prerequisite.
- Articulate with the ability to build rapport and relationships with senior stakeholders and decision makers within the corporate marketplace.
A consultative, solutions focused approach.
