Location: Enfield, North London

Working for this Accountancy Practice you will be responsible for running the payroll for 350-400 clients. And with ambitious growth plans it will provide career development and learning opportunities for an individual with a growth mindset.

As the Payroll Manager you will be responsible for managing all payroll related matters on behalf of the company's clients. So, 5 years public practice or payroll bureau experience is mandatory. Coupled with good working knowledge of Iris software.

The Role:

In this role as Interim Payroll Manager you will:

● Responsible for providing all payroll related matters on behalf of the company's clients (350-400) including sign offs, query management, governance and compliance.

● Dealing with external agencies such as HMRC, auditors and pension providers.

● Maintain up to date working knowledge of tax legislation specific to the area of payroll.

● Liaison with clients and employees as and when required.

The clients portfolio of customers are predominantly SME businesses and could range from chains of fish and chip shops to chains of hotels.

Repeat business is extremely strong and given their growth projections to grow from a £5m business to £8m this opportunity will provide a natural opportunity for career progression.

Due to the retirement of the current incumbent this position has become vacant.

The ideal candidate:

● A minimum of 5 years experience of payroll.

● Experience of working within a public practice or payroll bureau for multiple external clients.

● A good working knowledge of Iris.

As a highly competent and ambitious Credit professional, you will have an excellent understanding of SME and corporate customer cashflows and comprehensive knowledge of company financial statements.

    As part of the Credit team, you will champion their can-do, commercial culture, ensuring that risks are controlled while providing outstanding customer service. You will also work collaboratively with all other functions within the business, providing suggestions to reduce risk, safeguard the Company's position, and enhance the viability of their propositions.

    You will possess at least five years underwriting experience within either the SME asset finance market covering both hard and soft assets or the SME commercial loans market including shorter term loans. You will possess demonstrate a good understanding of SME/Corporate customer cashflows and comprehensive analysis of company financial statements. A thorough understanding of the credit process with a strong knowledge of leasing will be essential.
