This Accountancy Practice provides its clients with everything from T-accounts to Tax and Annual Accounts to Audits. Due to significant growth it has created this new position. And with further growth planned of 60% this role would suit an ambitious person seeking career development and progression.

Service excellence runs throughout this organisation. So although you will focus on audit related tasks and assisting the Audit Partner a focus on service excellence is paramount.

The Role:

In this role as Audit Manager you will:

● Report directly into the Audit Partner.

● Own a portfolio of clients.

● Be responsible and lead on all audit assignments for your clients.

● Think strategically about your clients needs being proactive in your approach.

Your portfolio of clients will be predominately SME businesses and could range from chains of fish and chip shops to chains of hotels.

Repeat business is extremely strong and given their growth projections to grow from a £5m business to £8m this opportunity will provide a natural opportunity for career progression. And even an opportunity to move into other areas of the Practice.

This company is passionate about training, learning and development. So whilst they do require certain skills and experience (please see below) they are willing to coach the successful candidates and provide on the job development opportunities.

The ideal candidate:

● A Qualified Chartered Accountant ICAEW or ACCA.

● A general Practice background with audit experience is mandatory.

● Strong understanding of IFRS and UK GAAP

● Familiarity with audit software (CCH, ProAudit or Mercia).

    As the Financial Crime Executive, you will play a crucial role in operations, developing and overseeing fraud prevention and AML Anti Money Laundering processes.     • Contribute to high-risk reviews, SAR Suspicious Activity Reporting completion, and submissions alongside the MLRO Money Laundering Risk Officer.

     

    Skills and Experience Required:

     

    • A proven track record in financial crime prevention in financial services, ideally gained within a growing SME or disruptor environment, with a keen insight into fraud prevention mechanisms.
    • A deep understanding of financial crime legislation and regulation, including the Financial Crime Handbook and JMLSG Joint Money Laundering Steering Group guidance.
    • Demonstrated competency in fraud investigations and identifying red flags in SME finance applications.
    • Excellent decision-making skills, with the ability to act autonomously and shoulder responsibility.
    • Strong interpersonal skills, aiding in stakeholder engagement and board-level discussions.
    • Familiarity with CIFAS, SIRA or Hunter highly desirable

Part of a pan European group they have a number of manufacturing sites across Europe and as part of a transformational change programme to support growth, they are now looking for a CFO/Chief Financial Officer to lead the team at their main manufacturing site in Germany.

     

    As an experienced CFO/Chief Financial Officer, you'll already understand the detail of this role. In summary, you'll be leading a team of 10 finance and accounting professionals, managing the operational day-to-day financial transactions, KPIs, cash flow planning and forecasting through monthly reports and budgets that can be presented to the senior stakeholders including the MD, Commercial Sales Director, Supply Chain Director and Manufacturing Director. Senior management have also identified potential high-performing individuals in the finance team who they would like you to develop and mentor. Treasury accounting and related aspects will be covered at Group level, so this is very much an operational CFO/Chief Financial Officer role.

     

    You will be university degree educated in business administration, accounting or (financial) controlling and an experienced Financial Director/CFO/Chief Financial Officer. You will have relevant finance management experience gained within a European/global matrix manufacturing organisation. Your experience will include drawing up balance sheets in HGB and IFRS and SAP FI/CO. Understanding of German GAAP useful. Strong knowledge of MS Office applications including Excel, Power BI.

     

    As for you, our client envisages you will be a German national with excellent English language skills. You'll be a confident presenter, as part of your role will be to deliver financial reports to the Southern European head office senior team.
