We are looking for an exceptional, forward thinking candidate to assist our client to become a cutting-edge insight driven procurement department.  This role will be integral to supporting significant transformation across procurement projects and category management whilst reducing costs, increasing efficiencies, identifying and evaluating opportunities, managing risk, adding value and promoting continual improvement by ensuring that the procurement and supply chain function meets the needs of both internal and external stakeholders. 


The Global Insights, Analytics and Data Controller role covers deployment analytics and data management across procurement, category and risk management.  You will ensure fact-based decision making, underpinned with accurate, timely and easily accessible data.  


As Global Insights, Analytics and Data Controller you will work in partnership with senior internal stakeholders, cross functional colleagues, suppliers and external customers to transform the way that information, analysis and insight is provided to the procurement and category management team to enable more effective decision making,  helping to achieve strategic objectives and organisational vision.  Our client champions quality performance data as a vital part of running a high performing organisation and strives for excellence in performance management.

As Global Insights, Analytics and Data Controller you will manage a range of business intelligence activities, including performance reporting, benchmarking, dashboard development aligned to procurement KPIs and analysis.  You will work with global teams across procurement and category management, gathering intelligence to establish metrics, scorecards and dashboards relating to spend analytics, cost benefit, service quality and performance to support continuous improvement and opportunity and value development.

The ideal candidate will be of graduate calibre, ideally university degree educated, highly numerate and analytical.  You will already be working in a similar insights, analysis and data intelligence role and will be seeking your next career move.   

You will demonstrate a proven track record in managing business intelligence and/or performance management activity within a large, complex matrix organisation.  This experience must have been gained within a SAP environment ideally supporting procurement, procurement to pay/P2P and supply chain functions.  You will have a strong grasp of data standards and the techniques required to understand and drive performance.  You will be confident in presenting insights to stakeholders in an engaging and compelling way, bringing performance information to life with scenarios and models and data visualisations.  You will be organised and analytical and adept at working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders and systems, SAP being the key one.  Six Sigma structured problem-solving capabilities will be advantageous. 

This role can be located in in the UK in our client’s North West office; the Netherlands or Germany – fluency in English plus Dutch or German would be essential for success if you wish to be based in the Netherlands or Germany.  Remote working due to Covid restrictions is also in operation.  In return our client offers a very competitive salary and benefits package including enhanced holiday entitlement and excellent pension and the opportunity to develop your career within a market leader.

In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in shaping the business pipeline and implementing a robust procurement strategy for external manufacturing and supply of finished dosage forms.

     

    The Role:

    · Designing and implementing procurement strategies for finished dosage products at third party contract manufacturers in Europe, in line with global strategy and regional country requirements.

    · Negotiate, execute and implement contracts and agreements, delivering world class total savings objectives.

    · All aspects of supplier performance management including regular business reviews.

    · Identifying product and process innovation potential at third party contract manufacturers leveraging innovation.

    · Collaborating with dedicated project teams to develop and launch innovative products.

    · Taking over leadership responsibilities in projects and functional leadership relations.

    · Applying professional procurement knowledge to spot and manage any commercial implications, risks, and opportunities.

    · Ensuring product profitability, innovation, and on-time delivery through your passion and commitment.

    The Ideal Candidate:

    · Ideally currently resident in Germany and fluent /native German language capability. Fluency in English and another European language would be highly advantageous.

    · University degree educated in economics, business, engineering, or science. A post graduate qualification in purchasing, procurement and supply chain would be highly advantageous.

    · At least seven years' experience in procurement category management within the pharmaceutical sector including extensive experience of sourcing, negotiation and supplier performance management of third-party contract manufacturers of finished dosage products.

    · Experience gained within multinational matrix pharmaceutical environment.

    · Excellent analytical and negotiation skills.

    · Excellent cross functional communication and relationship building skills to facilitate projects to identify synergies and cost savings.

    · Experience of SAP ERP highly advantageous. Excellent Excel skills.

    As an experienced CFO/Chief Financial Officer, you'll already understand the detail of this role. In summary, you'll be leading a team of 10 finance and accounting professionals, managing the operational day-to-day financial transactions, KPIs, cash flow planning and forecasting through monthly reports and budgets that can be presented to the senior stakeholders including the MD, Commercial Sales Director, Supply Chain Director and Manufacturing Director. Senior management have also identified potential high-performing individuals in the finance team who they would like you to develop and mentor. Treasury accounting and related aspects will be covered at Group level, so this is very much an operational CFO/Chief Financial Officer role.

     

    You will be university degree educated in business administration, accounting or (financial) controlling and an experienced Financial Director/CFO/Chief Financial Officer. You will have relevant finance management experience gained within a European/global matrix manufacturing organisation. Your experience will include drawing up balance sheets in HGB and IFRS and SAP FI/CO. Understanding of German GAAP useful. Strong knowledge of MS Office applications including Excel, Power BI.

    Our client is a fast growing and innovative manufacturing organisation supplying its world class products globally and making a real difference to people's lives. It is part of a Pan European group. They are now seeking a highly experienced HR Director with at least ten years HR generalist experience including management of a HR business partnering team in a manufacturing and supply chain environment.

     

    Working closely with the Senior Executive team, you'll be implementing the group strategy at the local country level in Germany. As such, you'll need to be fluent in English and German and have the gravitas and strong character to constructively challenge, coach, engage and influence the leadership team. Fluency in Spanish would be highly advantageous too.

     

    As an experienced HR Director, you'll have the knowledge and background to lead the changes required because of dramatic growth and the launch of innovative new products, working closely with the Works Council in a unionised environment to transform the business.

     

    Visibility will be critical to building the strong relationships you will need to succeed in this role, as our client wants you to continually develop and improve HR best practices including talent acquisition and succession planning strategies to become an employer of choice in order to attract the highest quality STEM talent from graduates to senior managers and leaders. As a key figure in the country executive team, you will work closely with the directors, senior managers, line managers and staff to educate, coach and support the correct application and continuous development of HR and company policies.

     

    As for your background, our client anticipates that you will have a degree in a HR discipline and be a member of a recognised professional HR body. In addition, you'll have led transformation and growth projects in your previous roles and can demonstrate resilience, strength of character, and a results-oriented mindset to your work. You will be a HR generalist and business partner already operating at Head of HR/HR Director level. This experience will have been gained, ideally within a multinational, matrix, and unionised environment within a highly successful commercial manufacturing and supply chain environment.
