Our client is one of the world’s most successful and innovative creators of consumer technology.

As a result of continued unprecedented growth our client is now seeking a university degree educated EMEIA Regional Third-Party Transport Supplier Manager.  As a Transport / Regional Supplier Manager, you will be responsible for managing the business relationship with some of our client’s primary transport providers. This is an exciting and dynamic role within a team of high performing professionals. In addition to managing third party transport providers, you will be working closely with the wider logistics team together and internal customers and stakeholders. Your work will drive how our client delivers shipments to its customers and you will play an active role in making this experience industry leading.

Our client’s customer base is spread across EMEIA and will include managing manufactured product which can originate within and outside of Europe and therefore our client requires a dynamic team player to join it on its daily quest to manage and improve its very complex supply chain.

The Role:

This role is responsible for managing best in class transport service providers to deliver excellent transportation solutions across all routes to market for our client’s customers in EMEIA.

This responsibility includes:

  • Managing our client’s transportation providers to meet or exceed service levels to our customers.
  • Maintain and monitor KPIs to check that providers operates to agreed service levels by ensuring weekly, monthly and quarterly business reviews are in place.
  • Work actively with providers on cost reduction programs.
  • Work actively with providers on product portfolios, using the latest technology available to deliver industry leading delivery experiences.
  • Work actively with providers on green efficiency programs.
  • Reviewing freight payment exceptions report on a weekly basis to ensure providers are invoicing appropriately.
  • Reviewing track and trace completeness & accuracy to ensure hit / beat SLA. – visibility is key for us running our business effectively.
  • Ensuring providers have appropriate capacity in place to meet our client’s requirements for Business As Usual, Peak and Events
  • Identifying best practice and deploy across the provider base.
  • Ensuring providers have appropriate security provisions in place and losses are kept to a minimum level.
  • Working with Supply Management to ensure that the Supplier Contracts are appropriate for our client’s business needs.
  • Supporting and driving with your providers the annual freight negotiations process.
  • Engaging cross functional customers and stakeholders to continually enhance our supply chain and deliver industry leading delivery experiences.
  • Strategising our delivery experiences to ensure we stay ahead of the curve in terms of delivery offerings and solutions.

The Ideal Applicant:

  • First University Degree plus Master’s degree.
  • At least 5-7 years relevant pan European transport supplier management experience gained within high volume logistics operations environment.

Experience in the following fields are ideally required:

  • At least 5-7 plus years of relevant logistics operations, programme management, supplier management, parcel network logistics (Dotcom or similar), reverse & repair logistics

In addition to this experience in the following is also preferred:
