Application Process


If you are applying for a specific vacancy advertised on our website, then the process is easy.  Simply submit your CV online via our website or by email to [email protected].  We will then automatically acknowledge receipt of your CV.  If you do not hear from us within a further two weeks, then your application has been unsuccessful.  It is difficult to reply personally to every candidate due to the number of applications that we receive.

If you broadly meet the client requirements, we will ask you some specific questions by email and possibly undertake further email exchanges with you.  You will deal with a dedicated consultant from The Martin Veasey Partnership who will be on hand throughout the process to answer any queries that you may have or to liaise with the client on your behalf.  Throughout the process you may also have contact with other consultants and administration staff.  Following this, the most appropriate candidates will be asked to undertake a short telephone interview.  If we take your application further, then you will be asked to attend a detailed face to face interview or if not possible, a telephone or video conference interview.  This interview will be structured to the needs of our client and its purpose is to:

  • To meet you personally and get to know you
  • To discuss how The Martin Veasey Partnership’s service will work for you
  • To discuss the objectives of your job search
  • To review your career in depth so that we fully understand your qualifications, experience, achievements, competencies and skills base
  • To help you with the redesign of your CV where necessary
  • We pride ourselves on our professional approach and this means pre-screening candidates. The more we know about you, then the more we can do for you, therefore, it is in your own interest to do all you can to provide additional information or to attend an interview where it is requested

If we feel that your details should be forwarded to our client then we will submit your CV and interview notes accordingly and keep you informed of the progress with the client.  All interviews with the client will be organised and arranged by ourselves.  We normally advise candidates of the format that clients will be adopting in their shortlist selection process. In addition to interview, some clients may use psychometric testing as part of their selection procedure.  Other clients may ask shortlisted candidates to undertake a short presentation maybe utilising a visual aid.  Occasionally, clients may require attendance at an assessment centre together with other candidates.  Normally any job offer would initially be presented to the successful candidate by ourselves.  If you are not successful with one application we will retain your details on our database and we may discuss other opportunities with you that you may like to be considered for.
