When undertaking a search and selection assignment for a specific
vacancy we conduct selection interviews on behalf of our clients
in order to explore particular competencies and skills profiles.

The Prescreening/Registration Interview
Candidates registering with The Martin Veasey Partnership may be
requested to attend a general interview.
The Purpose of this interview is:
- To meet you personally and get
to know you
- To discuss how The Martin Veasey Partnership’s
service will work for you
- To discuss the objectives of your job
search
- To review your career in depth so that we fully understand
your qualifications, experience, achievements and skills base
- To help you with the redesign of your CV where necessary
We pride ourselves on our professional approach and this means pre-screening
candidates. The more we know about you then the more we can do for
you, therefore it is in your own interest to do all you can to provide
additional information or to attend an interview where it is requested.
After the pre-screening state, your details will be entered into
our database and you will be considered for each appropriate vacancy
we are asked to handle. When a client requests The Martin Veasey
Partnership to undertake a database search we shall forward your
details when the match is close, having first received your confirmation
that you are happy for us to do so.
We shall contact you only when the client wishes to progress your
application with a short-list interview. Due to the considerable
volume of candidates and vacancies that we handle, it is only possible
to contact you on a ‘need-to’ basis.
The Selection Interview
Many
clients retain The Martin Veasey Partnership to short-list on their
behalf. Whether you are registered with us, responding to
a specific advertisement or contracted through executive search,
you will be required to attend a selection interview at The
Martin Veasey Partnership, which will be structured to the needs
of
our
client.
It is also the opportunity for The Martin Veasey Partnership
to brief you about the vacancy and the client but it is also
wise to undertake research of your own.
Short-listed candidates are then submitted to our client who will
then make the final decision as to who they wish to invite for interview.
This is normally carried out by the client at their own premises.
Interview Format & Assessment
We normally advise candidates of the format that clients will be
adopting in their selection process. Some companies may use psychometric
testing as part of their selection procedure. They can take a while
to complete but usually we are able to advise you in advance if this
is to be part of the procedure.
Job Offer
We strongly recommend that you carry out as much research as possible
into the client company prior to your interview(s) in addition to
the information that The Martin Veasey Partnership may provide.
Then
if a job offer is made you will then be in a far better position
to decide whether the client company and its strategic objectives
will meet your realistic expectations in terms of job content,
future prospects, and total package.

you may have you may have or to liaise with the client on your behalf
or to make any necessary arrangements.
